About Canberra Playback Theatre training workshops.

Playback Theatre training uses drama activities and Playback forms to engage creativity, spontaneity and performance improvisation developing imagination and physical expression. The courses are suitable for people looking to develop performance skills or extend their creativity and imagination.

Playback theatre forms covered include short forms, stories, music and telling. People with a background in theatre and music, community development, social activism or the delivery of human services may find our training courses relevant to their practice.

As music is an integral part of Playback Theatre, our training workshops incorporate the use of music, sound and song. Musicians and singers will find playback training a stimulating and expanding experience.

Attending training is the first step for people interested in joining the company.
